Faster project completion due to rapid all weather construction
Precast components are manufactured in sheltered environment therefore less susceptible to interruptions due to rain. Furthermore, precast concrete system speeds up construction as components are done in-advanced prior to actual physical works at site. Precast system also allows trades to be done simultaneously, resulting in minimal critical paths, thus improving construction timelines.
Better quality control since production in factory is under sheltered environment
Sheltered and controlled environment allow stringent QA/QC procedures to take place. Most importantly, quality of precast components are consistent. Eastern Pretech quality control is in compliance to ISO 9001:2015 in addition to ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
Reduction of site labour
Dependency on foreign labour has always been an issue in Malaysia. As precast concrete components are done in an automated facilities at the factory, site labour can be reduced significantly. Indirectly, the reduced number of site labour may reduce construction costs as worker quarters are not needed at construction sites.
Eastern Pretech is a strong proponent in the conservation of environment. Material at our factories are re-used or re-cycled as much as possible.
Neater and safer construction sites
Most often, conventional construction sites are dirty and untidy, thus make sites more prone to danger/accidents. Indirect cost savings are achievable as cleaning of rubbish or debris at sites can be expensive.
Point minimal wastage
As our precast facilities utilize automation in the production of concrete products, wastage is minimal. Unlike the conventional construction method, high wastage of concrete, rebars, formworks, etc. are most often unavoidable.
Flexibility to architectural changes
Our EP precast system allows flexibility in changes to architectural requirements. For example, our hollow core slabs can be designed to cater for line or/and point loads from brickwalls, stiffeners, etc.
